Speaker Bio
Christine Harlan is a national educator and Midwest fiber artist with over 30 years of experience in the industry. Although she spends very little time posting on social media, she spends a lot of time on the road teaching for both Pfaff and Husqvarna Viking and various stores, coast to coast.

Her sewing education started like many, by the side of her great grandmother, grandmother and mother, making the usual starter projects for 4-H, Brownies and Girl Scouts. Christine has studied and taught various mixed media and fiber art classes in schools, quilt shops, sewing centers and at the occasional retreat, when invited. Although her initial focus was on garment sewing, design, draping and construction, she always had an interest in quilting. Her genuine love and desire to combine the many beautiful sewing and fiber techniques is what fuels her passion for Art Quilts and Quilted Sculptures, today. She specializes in contemporary quilting techniques, fabric manipulation, fabric collage, landscapes, free motion thread painting and sketching by machine, embroidery and silk ribbon techniques, felting, fabric dying and colorizing, punch needle and rug hooking, all of which she is planning on offering in future classes and workshops in the months and years ahead.

If you have ever taken a class with Christine, then you know how much she loves to teach and welcomes anyone to learn and be inspired. It doesn't matter what your creative background is, nor your experience level. Christine invites you to join her for each H&H class, learning and building skills, all while exploring the many fun and creative possibilities... today, and always.
