Description

Spring Into Applique, with Christine Harlan, in this 2-hour craft lab, exploring both traditional and modern applique techniques. Christine has custom designed a variety of flowers, leaves and bird patterns for you to use to create your very own garden design. If you bring an apron to class, Christine will show you how to turn your apron into a handy, beautifully appliqued, sewing assistant for your notions with just a few fat quarters. If you don't wear aprons, it's okay. You can select a denim, canvas or a cotton quilting fabric to use as a background for your appliques. Free motion thread painting and raw edge applique techniques will also be presented for you to try. Not to worry, Christine has ways of making Free-Motion methods fun and easy...and optional. Learning how to applique pointed shapes and around curves, applying decorative stitches with a new perspective, adding texture to your textiles, and how to use adhesives properly, will also be covered during these two exciting and informative hours. No applique experience needed. It's Time! Spring into action and register for 2 hours of fun and techniques with Christine.
