
Create a whimsical Petal Purse, adorned with a custom 3-D flower design and additional petal details, in this workshop full of whimsy. Christine will teach you a lot of industry tips and techniques while you cut, quilt and construct your purse. Purse, carry-all, overnight travel tote, knitting bag, call it whatever you want...Just be sure to sign up quickly, so you can learn how four 18" circles and some innovation can carry a lot of fabulous H&H goodies for you, throughout the show!

Kit Contents: All required project fabrics, batting, interfacing and a snap are supplied in each kit. Threads are not included.
You can choose to bring and/or cut your own fabrics as listed in the BYOF - Whimsical Petal Purse, Fabric Required Per Kit, listed.

- ½ yard of fabric for the outer bag front and back, must be able to cut two 18" circles
- ½ yard of thin fusible cotton batting for the outer bag front and back, must be able to cut two 18" circles
- ½ yard of fabric for the lining front and back, must be able to cut two 18" circles
- ½ yard of interfacing for the lining front and back, must be able to cut two 18" circles
- ¼ yard of fabric for the straps/handles, or variety of fabric
s to cut two 3" x 20" and two 3" x 30" pieces - ¼ yard of batting for the straps/handles, or enough to cut one 3" x 20" and one 3" x 30" pieces
- ¼ yard of fabric, or a fat ¼, for the interior patch pocket
- 2 coordinating fat quarters for top and bottom petals pieces
- 2 five-inch squares of fabric and two thin fusible cotton batting pieces for center of flower
- 2 Tear Away Stabilizer Pieces, any weight, 18" minimum, to cut and mark pattern pieces
- Threads, to match fabrics for construction and top stitching
- Snap Closure (optional) for top of bag, if desired cut and bring four 2" batting squares
Notions To Bring To Class:
Your favorite sewing notions are always a plus to bring and should include the following:
- Turning Tool, for petal points and strap/handle pieces
- Wonder Clips
- Pins
- Thread Snips
- Scissors, if you prefer to use instead of a rotary cutter for cutting out circles
- Paper Scissors, for cutting out pattern pieces
- Fabric Marking Pen or Pencil, or Tailors Chalk
- Pressing Tool, wooden press or roller, for seam allowances
- Stiletto or Seam Ripper, to hold down fabric edges as needed
- Rotary Cutter (optional, will have some in classroom)
- Small Ruler (recommended 1"x 6" or 1"x12", optional)
