We’re thrilled to share that this year’s keynote speaker is Dr. Sharbreon Plummer, a leader whose work continues to shape the future of craft, creativity, and community. Dr. Plummer is an internationally known writer, public scholar, curator and interdisciplinary artist from south Louisiana. She is the founder of AYA Thought Studio and has spent the past fifteen years shaping and facilitating transformative programs, initiatives and research that center liberation and justice through arts and culture. 

Expect an energizing session filled with insight, storytelling, and practical takeaways you can bring back to your own making journey. Following the keynote presentation, enjoy a book signing with Dr. Plummer celebrating the launch of Stories in the Seams: A People’s History of Black Quilts & Their Makers, her new book.
