My sewing journey didn’t begin at my mother’s knee—it began with being banned from her sewing machine and forbidden to touch a precious double wedding ring heirloom. (In her defense, I didn’t know how to sew yet. Years later I learned—and now I own the quilt.) What followed was—and still is—a wonderfully haphazard path of classes, videos, books, inspiration, experimentation, occasional failure, and plenty of success.

Those early quilts stuck with me, and eventually I fell headfirst into patchwork. After time in corporate life and a stint as a stay-at-home mom, I found my way to a local sewing machine store, where I began teaching quilting. Along the way, I discovered embroidery machines and software and promptly fell in love—so I started teaching those too.

I believe learning should be fun, approachable, and confidence-building. Thanks to past lives as an engineer and program manager, I break techniques into clear, manageable steps. Join me in the classroom, and let’s have some fun with software and stitching!
