Learning Foundation Paper Piecing unlocks an entirely new world of quilt making! Precision points, unconventional shapes, and pictorial quilts are often made using foundation paper piecing techniques. In this class, we’ll go over basic foundation paper piecing techniques, including stitching up several basic blocks. You’ll walk away from class with the basic skills to attack most foundation paper pieced patterns.
The book “Ultimate Paper Piecing Reference Guide” is recommended but not required for the class. The class kit is required, and will include fabric (you’re welcome to bring fat quarters of your own fabric if you have specific fabric preferences), a foundation piecing water pen, and pre-printed foundation patterns.
Students should have basic sewing machine skills to be successful in class – we will not be covering how to use or thread a sewing machine.
