Step into the heart of a quaint European village as you learn to design and quilt your own charming scene! In this class, you’ll explore how to create depth and perspective in your quilt, bringing cobblestone streets, flowers and cozy benches to life with needle and thread. You will learn techniques for sketching and placing individual design elements such as trees, flowers, walkways, and village details to create balance and flow within your scene. We will also focus on how thread color can enhance dimension and realism, making your quilt truly stand out.

Choose either the Village Tower or Windmill Landscape to quilt during class.

By the end of class, you’ll have the skills to turn your imagination into a captivating stitched story one that captures the timeless beauty of a European village in fabric and thread. Iris will also share some of her favorite binding technique tips in this fun hands-on class.
