Description

Ever looked at a character design and wondered "how on earth do I pattern that"? This class will walk you through the process of breaking down complex cosplay costumes or original designs into achievable, patternable shapes, and then turning those ideas into real garments. We’ll explore the visual language of costume design, basic garment structure, and how to approach translating stylized, animated, or conceptual costumes into patterns that actually work on a real body. Whether you’re patterning your first custom build or refining your design process as a seasoned maker, this class will give you tools to bridge the gap between imagination and execution.
