Description

Let’s have fun creating beautiful boxes with favorite fabrics without sewing! This is cartonnage technique, and in this hands-on class, participants will create their own Fabric Spinning Box (Caddy Organizer) as a functional and charming piece that can be used for organizing craft tools, sewing notions, or as a unique handmade gift. Using favorite fabrics, you’ll learn how to transform simple materials into a functional and professional- looking box, without any sewing machine, needle or thread. Just your fabrics, our DIY kit and Elmer’s Glue. The process is easy, relaxing, and deeply rewarding. Everyone will leave class with a finished box and the inspiration (and skills) to keep creating at home. Learn the fundamentals of Cartonnage and how to build sturdy, fabric-covered boxes while creating a finished, rotating spinning box to take home and that are ready to use or to gift.  Explore creative ways to repurpose fabrics and materials you already own while experience the joy of mindful crafting, relaxing, being present and feeling the JOY of this craft.
